User experience improvements

  • We’ve recently made an update to the way that the fast search facility works in Paycircle. We monitor all the different areas in the app, so we can see the use of certain areas and functionality, and we constantly monitor the speed and performance. Our user base has grown since we first introduced the fast search feature. When you perform a fast search, the system looks across the entire database to bring back the appropriate results. Through our monitoring, we can see that this function was going to start to decrease in speed and performance, so to keep the fast search living up to its name, we’ve needed to introduce a way of giving the function some parameters to search on. We’re aware that this means a few more clicks to set the search, but the outcome is that you can still enjoy a fast, fast search experience.

  • We’ve updated the Community Forum links within payroll.paycircle and my.paycircle to Paycircle’s new ideation portal for easy navigation if you’d like to request a new feature, check the status of a raised feature, or vote on an existing feature.

  • The system now alerts you if you’re performing a supplementary pay run at year end into a previous tax year. This is to ensure the settings for employment allowance are accurate for that tax year prior to the submission going through.

  • There’s a new activity log when you don’t submit an EPS, employer payment summary, as you approved the period outside of the HMRC EPS window.
