NEST contributions stop immediately when a cease date is entered

When a cease date is populated against a NEST pension within Paycircle, Paycircle will treat this as a notice to immediately cease contributions, regardless of the cease date value (even if the cease date is in the future, the contributions will still end immediately).

If the employee is still required to contribute to the NEST pension in the current payroll period, you will need to manually remove the cease date from the NEST pension scheme and then complete the payroll run. You can add the cease date back in manually once the payroll run has been completed.

An enhancement has been raised for future consideration to automatically continue employee contributions where the cease date of the NEST pension is in a future period. Any updates on this enhancement will be detailed in our frequent release notes.
