If you've connected the pension to the pension provider via API, this means it's an automated pension. Once the pension is connected, the pension groups will change to mirror the group settings on the pension provider's side. If you want to make changes to the pension group, for example, change the contribution basis or mark the group as Salary Sacrifice, you will need to make those changes in the pension provider account that is linked to Paycircle.
Once you make the necessary changes, the API link sends this information to Paycircle amending the groups automatically.
If you don't want to make those changes in the pension provider, you can change the pension to manual. Any options that were previously non-editable are now available and you can make the changes you want.
Once you re-establish direct connection, all the changes you have made when the pension was manual, will be reversed as the API link will mirror the pension provider's settings.
