In this article, we explain how to manage a team member's pension scheme that isn't part of automatic enrolment. You can add team members to a non-auto enrolment pension on an individual basis, or in bulk.

It's important to note that before you add a team member to a non-auto enrolment pension, you need to complete their auto enrolment pension information. For example, enrolling them or marking them as opted out. Once you've done this, you can set up their non-auto enrolment pension details. You can assign one auto enrolment scheme and any number of non-auto enrolment schemes to each team member.
Add an individual to a pension
To add a single team member to a non-auto enrolment pension:
Click Team then click the relevant team member.
Below personal information, click Add to non-AE pension.
Select the relevant scheme then click Next.
Select the relevant contribution band.
βTip: If you want to use fixed contributions or a mixture of fixed and percentages, you can set up custom contribution rates.If required, turn on Add earlier joined date.
By default, the date they joined the pension is set as the start of the period.Click Finish.
Add multiple team members to a pension
If the team member is no longer in set up mode, or you want to add more than one team member to a pension at a time, follow the steps below.
Click Pensions then click the relevant pension scheme.
Click Actions then click Add team members.
Select the relevant team members then click Add to pension.
If you need to amend their contribution bands from the default settings:
Within the pension scheme' click the Team tab.
Click the action cog βοΈ against the relevant team member.
Click Pension contributions then enter the relevant rates.
Remove a team member from a pension
You can easily remove an employee from a pension scheme. To do this follow the steps below.
Click Team then click the relevant employee.
For the relevant scheme, click Remove.
Rejoin a team member into a pension
There may be occasions where a team member who has been removed wants to start contributing to the non-auto enrolment pension again. To rejoin them, follow the steps below.
Click Team then click the relevant employee.
Click the Pensions tab.
For the relevant scheme, click Rejoin.
Configure their contribution band settings.
Click Save.
