Generate a P45 if it is missing for a leaver

Produce a P45 for a leaver if it has not been created automatically.

If no P45 has been generated for a leaver, check if this employee has rejoined the payroll. If the employee was a rejoiner, they will already have a copy of their previous P45 in the Documents tab in their profile.

The system won't generate another copy if the employee leaves the second time and you will need to re-generate the P45 to include the most recent leaver information.

  1. Go to the company.

  2. In the Team go to Leavers.

  3. Select the right employee and go into their profile.

  4. Under the Documents tab, on the right-hand side of the screen select Regenerate.

  5. Select P45 and click Regenerate.

The P45 will be updated with the most recent leaver information. You can download a copy and send it to the employee or, if the employee has access to their Pay Portal they will be able to access it there.
