If you're running a journal report but the description is missing, this can be because your nominal codes and sub-code overrides repeat or don't have a unique code. To resolve this, you need to change any duplicate nominal codes.
If you're using the same code for more than one nominal code or the sub-code override, the system can't determine which element should be displayed on the report.
To resolve this, follow the steps below.
Click Company settings, in the Reports & Journals block, click on Journals.
Under Nominal Codes, check for any duplicate codes. If there are any, replace it with a unique code.
Click the Business categories tab then repeat these steps for any sub-code overrides.
