Historically the 39th week /final paid period of maternity appears in the end date box example below. Now we will show the 52nd week automatically, but this can be amended to another date if needed.

In the example below on the left it shows the existing method of the 30/09/2025, on the right it shows the new method showing 30/12/2025.

This change will make sure that employees will not be placed back onto a salary at the 39th week of Maternity but rather the 52nd week, ensuring no overpayment made in the 40th to 52nd week of unpaid Maternity.

The maternity leave end date can still be amended as they been originally, and the existing message appears if you try to enter a date after the 52nd week as per the example below.
