There are a few reasons why you might wish to archive a company; a company may close down, get bought or merge with another company, or they may move their payroll to another service provider. If you’re no longer running payroll for a company, you may choose to archive them.
Note: Archiving a company will mean it no longer appears in your companies list, or on your dashboard page. The company becomes inactive, but all historical data is retained. To do this, watch the video or follow the steps below.
Archiving a company from the ‘Companies’ list page
To archive a company, follow the steps below.
Click the Companies tab and find the company that you wish to archive.
Click the action cog ⚙️ and click Archive company.
In the drop-down list, select the relevant archive reason.
Click Next, then click Archive.
Viewing archived companies
To view companies that have been archived, follow the steps below.
Click the Companies tab, then click the Archive subsection in the left navigation.
Select the relevant company.
Reactivating archived companies
You can reactivate the company at any time. To do this, follow the steps below.
Click the Companies tab, then click the action cog ⚙️
Click Undo archive.
