The HMRC Tax Due dashboard gauge is not an absolute figure and is intended only as a rough guide to how much tax is due to HMRC. The value shown on this dashboard gauge can be impacted by several scenarios, such as;

  • Data from your FPS

  • Data from your EPS

  • Credits on your HMRC PAYE account

  • Credits from the previous pay periods carried forward

  • Payroll corrections such as roll backs, supplementary pay runs and year to date corrections

  • CIS values added to an EPS post submission

  • Whether you pay HMRC monthly, quarterly or annually

  • Whether you pay your team with different frequencies

  • If you have multiple payroll submissions on the same PAYE scheme

  • Anything that’s paid in or paid out to the HMRC PAYE account that Paycircle doesn’t know about

You should always ensure that you make use of the available P32 reports to determine to correct tax due for the relevant company. If a PAYE Credit is present, make sure you understand the difference between PAYE Credit Incurred and PAYE Credit Applied.

If you require any assistance with understanding the P32 reports, please raise a case with support.
