Leave a welcome note
You have the option to leave a welcome note for the collaborator. You can use this to remind the admin what to do, or what sort of information you want them to share in order to process their payroll. The welcome note appears within the Notes tab of the current period. To leave a welcome note:
Against the first stage, click Assign a collaborator.
If you've already assigned a collaborator, click their name.Select the Add an automatic welcome note check box.
Either use the default note or enter your own message then click Save.
Add due dates
Due dates are relative to the pay period’s pay day, which you can find at the bottom of the workflow, and when adding dates. Each stage needs to be due after the previous stage.
Against the relevant stage, click Add due date and time.
Enter the number of days before pay day the stage is due, then add a time.
If you want to move due dates if they fall on a non-working day, from the drop down menu, select the relevant option.
Note: This only moves stages that fall on weekends and bank holidays, so you could end up with a stage being due after the following stage is due.Click Save.
You can now start the workflow.
Start the workflow
If the current period’s pay date is in the past, you need to bring the company up to date in order to start the cycle.
