Resolving "Authentication Timed Out" errors on the Salesforce integration in Paycircle

Written by Jordan Hutchinson

If you see the error Authentication timed out, message when trying to access Salesforce from within Paycircle, this means the connection between Paycircle and your Salesforce account has expired or lost its authorisation. This is an OAuth token issue and can usually be resolved by re-authenticating the integration. To do this, follow the steps below.

📌Note: You must be a Paycircle administrator to access integration settings. If you don't have this access, ask your bureau administrator to complete these steps.

  1. In Paycircle, click Settings, then click Integration.

  2. Click Salesforce, then click Disconnect.

  3. Follow the prompts to reconnect using your Salesforce credentials.

If the error persists

  • Check that your Salesforce account is active and your credentials are correct.

  • Confirm that the Salesforce integration is enabled on your Paycircle account; your bureau administrator will be able to verify this.

  • Contact our Paycircle support team with a screenshot of the error message; our technical team may need to review the OAuth configuration on your account.
