If a team member on a pay policy has multiple posts, you can specify which post to assign changes to when importing their payroll adjustments.

Before you import data

If you're using a vertical import layout, the post identifier column isn't available in the following import types:

  • Hourly units.

  • Link rates.

  • Off-payroll.

  • Off-payroll (recurring).

  • Payslip notes.

  • Shifts.

  • CIS fixed amounts.

Team member has multiple posts

If you map the post identifier column and a team member has multiple posts, changes won't apply when:

  • The post identifier on the import file doesn’t match one of the posts’ identifiers.

  • The post identifier on the import file is blank.

If you haven't mapped the post identifier column, all changes import against their main post.

Team member has a single post

If you map the post identifier column and a team member has a single post and the identifier on the import file is blank:

  • The changes import if their main post doesn’t have an identifier.

  • The changes don't apply if their post has an identifier.
