When onboarding a new company onto Paycircle, you might choose to import the team using an FPS file from the previous software. This will ensure that Year to Date information for team members, as well as HMRC Submission IDs are migrated accurately, to prevent misalignments.
Uploading an FPS file
To import an FPS file follow the steps below.
Click the Team tab, and click Import.
Click the option for FPS file. You can now either drag and drop the FPS file into the importer, or click the link to select the file from your computer. The FPS will need to be in XML format in order to import correctly.
Setting Payroll IDs
Once uploaded, you will then need to choose how you want to set the team members’ Payroll IDs. If you wish to set their Payroll IDs as their HMRC Submission IDs on the FPS, tick the box. If you want the system to automatically generate new Payroll IDs for team members, uncheck the box. Then, click Import.
Once imported, you may need to fill in any missing team data that wasn’t populated on the FPS, for example, bank details and email addresses. You can do this manually, or with a CSV team import.
