When tagging someone in a note, following the @ mention you will be able to choose the person you want to tag from the list of users available. By doing this, the person you tagged, will receive a bell notification advising them that you left them a note.
If instead of picking a user from a list, you need to type in the @ symbol and then type in their full name, this will not generate the bell notification and the user won't be notified they have been tagged.
If you aren't sure if the person has been tagged correctly, please delete the note and replace it with a new one making sure to select the user from the list.
