Holiday pay on your payslip

Holiday pay from Rotaready now shows as a separate Holiday line on your payslip. Previously, it was grouped with shifts under Salary, making it hard to confirm that holiday had been paid.

What has changed

Before

After

Salary: Β£2,200.00 (shifts and holiday combined)

Regular Shifts: Β£2,000.00

Holiday: Β£200.00

Why this matters

This change improves payslip clarity for hourly workers. You can now:

  • See exactly how much you have been paid for your holiday in each pay period.

  • Confirm that holiday has been transferred to payroll correctly.

  • Understand your total pay at a glance without needing to ask your payroll team.

What you need to do

Employees

No action is required. Your payslip will automatically show holiday as a separate line once this change is live.

If you were expecting holiday pay and cannot see a holiday line on your payslip, contact your payroll administrator.

Payroll administrators

To ensure holiday pay processes correctly for all employees, the holiday pay element must be present in each employee's Paycircle pack. If the holiday element is missing from an employee's pack:

  • Their holiday will be skipped for that pay run.

  • A warning will appear on the Rotaready Updates page.

  • The rest of the payroll will not be affected.

If you are using the Rotaready integration with Paycircle, ensure that the holiday pay element name in Paycircle matches exactly the holiday pay element name configured in Rotaready β€” including capitalisation and spacing. If the names do not match, holiday pay will fail to transfer for affected employees.
